The Plant Operator will be responsible for operating all equipment associated with solvent extraction of oil from soybeans and canola in the plant. The Plant Operator will be responsible for monitoring equipment, operating control systems, processing samples, testing samples, and utilizing computers for data entry daily. The Plant Operator will also be required to follow all safety policies and perform their duty in a safe manner.
The Plant Operator will work 12 hour rotating shifts.
- Control production operations involving many variables (flows, pressures, temperatures, etc.) by observing field temperature gauges, pressure gauges and flow meters frequently to regulate and maintain required process parameters, making adjustments as needed.
- Operate and maintain distillation, extraction, hexane tanks and other equipment that run as a continuous process in the final step of extracting oil from soybeans and canola.
- Operate and maintain the soybean & canola crush plant.
- Daily equipment checks to ensure equipment is functioning and maintained.
- Actively participate in all aspects of safety, including near miss reporting and meetings.
- Monitor equipment and document process log sheet readings.
- Work with chemicals in a PSM environment.

- High School Diploma/GED required
- Ability to operate various types of machinery, required
- Ability to look at computer screens for a long period of time
