If you’re a high school student who’s planning to attend college, the best way to save time and money is to earn college credit for free or at a reduced cost through Fort Hays Tech | Northwest's Early College program. We offer a variety of dual credit courses that high school students can take on Fort Hays Tech | Northwest’s campus, online, or at participating high schools. Plus, all of our General Education courses are fully transferable to any college in Kansas! Select the pathway below that best fits your goals to learn more about our dual credit course offerings.


I’m a freshman or sophomore.

You can take general education and/or career and technical education (CTE) courses if you meet one or more of the following criteria:

  • You’re in a gifted/honors program
  • You receive approval from your principal
  • You receive approval from your counselor

Depending on the course, you can take them online, at Fort Hays Tech | Northwest, or at your high school if they’re taught by a certified instructor. Talk to your counselor about Fort Hays Tech | Northwest's Early College program to learn more.

If you’re in the spring semester of your sophomore year and are interested in a specific CTE program, contact Kayla Luera to learn more about enrolling in our junior/senior option. Depending on the program, you may have the opportunity to graduate high school with a technical certificate and associate degree!
