  • Northwest Tech Welcomes Andrew Davison to Men’s Basketball Coaching Staff

    The coaching staff for the upcoming 2018-19 Northwest Tech men's basketball season continues to take shape as head coach Nate Padia has announced the addition of Andrew Davison as assistant coach.

    “We are glad to welcome Andrew back to the Tech,” said President Ben Schears, “…he knows the culture of the college, the Goodland community, and that will help him hit the ground running.”

    Davison comes to Northwest Tech entering his fifth season of coaching. Davison started his career at Pratt Community College and then spent a year here at Northwest Tech. He went on to Colorado State University and finally, last year, he coached at New Mexico Highlands University. Davidson was happy to have the opportunity to return back to Northwest Tech to coach under Padia.

    Davison expressed his optimism for the upcoming year saying, “My expectations for this year would be to make some noise and establish ourselves in the Jayhawk Conference!”

    Davison graduated from Emporia State University and is originally from Garden City, Kansas.

    As the Lady Maverick Basketball program enters its seventh year of competition, Justin Hales has accepted the position as assistant coach. Hales has been coaching for the past five years. Hales spent the past three years coaching at the high school level in Texas. Previously, Hales spent one year as the varsity assistant and J.V. head coach at Big Sandy ISD in Big Sandy, Texas.
