Interlibrary Loan Policies & Procedures
Students, faculty and community members may easily obtain resources from other libraries. You can check the Kansas Library Catalog for holdings from libraries across Kansas, or simply give the librarian the information you have.
Time Required
Most interlibrary loans take between 5 to 10 days. We participate in the Kansas Library courier service, which sometimes speeds delivery, but if an item is checked out in the home library it may take longer. Please keep this in mind when making your request.
Notification
The Interlibrary Loan staff notifies borrowers by phone or e-mail when their requests have been received. ⋅ Picking Up Materials Pick up borrowed materials at the circulation desk.
Returning and Renewing
Return borrowed materials to the circulation desk. Many lending libraries will not make interlibrary loan renewals; if so, we cannot accept requests for renewals. Failure to return material by the due date will suspend future ILL borrowing privileges.
Financial Responsibility
Lost materials, damaged materials, and overdue fines are the responsibility of the borrower.
Contact information for requesting materials:

Information to include: title, author, volume (if necessary), and type of material (book, DVD, etc.).
Databases

NWKLS Rotating Books
The Northwest Kansas Library System in Norton brings new books every two months for reading enjoyment. The books come in various genres for everyone to enjoy. They also include DVDs and Playaways for listening to books. If you are in need of something new to read, stop in and check one out!
Kansas Library Card
You do not need a library card for the campus library, but you may request a Kansas State library card for more access.
The Kansas Library card is a tool for remote electronic access to information and research resources supplied by the state library. It is available to any Kansas resident or NT college student. You may use this card to access eBooks and audio books through the Kansas State Library website. Some databases may request a card as well.
Please stop in the library to request a library card and more information.
Computer Use
Computers in the library are open to use at all times. Please be responsible when using the computers. Remember that these computers are public and be sure to log out of any accounts when complete.
